Hello all! Wow, two videos in one night! In this relatively short segment we install the shift forks/rails into the transmission top cover. A little tricky given the amount of spring load they are under, but doable. I do sometimes with I had a third hand, though!     Ahh, fold over lock action!!! I can rest easy now that I've had my "fix" for the day lol. Nothing like the joys of lock tabs in hard to reach places – who made those things so darned stiff anyway??? 😉

    we packed the detent springs and check balls with wheel packing grease to help hold then in place while assembly

    Hey kenny, My H seems to blow some black smoke when going up a steep hill in 5th like its burning rich, but I pull the plugs and they are a nice tan color, should I still readjust the carb or not worry about it? It idiles perfect and revs and decelerates perfect without "falling on its face". When I free rev it with it in neutral it doesn't blow any smoke at all. Also one last thing, An older fella once told me to add an ounce of 2 stroke oil to the gas every fill up to help lube the valves. Myself, I only see this causing carbon build up around the valves and cylinder over time, would you recommend it?
