    only problem I had with mountain was going downhill.
    On a very very steep slope, the concrete ran out and became rock and sand…. tipped over my Harley … nothing could be done

    Thanks for the video! I really like riding in the hills or mountains, it combines good ride and good views, what's not to love!

    How does engine braking damage it? Assuming you have a 4-stroke. The engine still rotates whether it's being pulled or pulling, it does wear out a bit with using but I think it's roughly the same no matter how much power it's putting out. (It does depend on RPMs though.) Generally, going downhill (on the road), I try to use the engine to maintain my speed and brakes to slow down so that I prevent fading which you mentioned.

    As for turns, I like entering as wide as possible, in switchbacks sometimes even in the opposite lane. It gives a better visibility and as a non-skilled rider, a late apex is good because if you run wide, you run wide at the place where the road straightens, so it's easier to recover before you go out of your lane – keep in mind you probably see some distance into the turn but not out of it until it's too late. The only problem is, too many left-turning drivers like to cut into the opposite late so you need to be mindful of cars (and bikes) in the opposite directions entering your lane. On the other hand, if you're turning left, the outer edge of the road is where most of the gravel tends to congregate so you can't run too wide on there either.
