Hi Scotty – I'd be careful recommending Dorman Products. Here in California at the repair shop I use, within the last two years they have REFUSED to purchase ANY Dorman products for their customers due to their extremely high rate of failure.
As high as gas is in the UK compared to the US, if their EV sales are down, that's a really hard sell for both of us.
Electric cars are fundamentally flawed because the most expensive part (the battery) has the shortest service life, is made of rare elements, has a calendar expiration date, is not serviceable, is not recyclable, is not instantly refillable and is the heaviest. An electric car driven for 5 years has little 2nd hand value since end of life for the most expensive part is halfway to the expiration date the one who buys 2nd hand would not be able to sell it since its not worth putting an expensive new battery in a 10year old car the car is virtually wortless and the 2nd hand buyer loses his full purchase price in value.

I’ve always thought the same as Scotty. The infrastructure isn’t there, they’re just flat out not selling well at all, they’re terrible quality and hard to repair, it’s more expensive of an electricity bill than gasoline, it’s HORRIBLE for environment (lithium, cobalt mines and coal/oil burned to make electricity), they’re quiet and you can’t customize them… I’m glad to see the crap fail. It’s all a ploy to ground us at home so they government can usher in the New World Order
