Scotty, thanks for dissuading the Supra guy from getting the 87-92 Supras. Yes, the were great for the first 100K miles, but after that the car's complexity destroys its reputation for reliability. Beautiful cars bit NOT daily driven cars once they become geriatric money pits that Toyoda doesn't even make parts for. They belong in museums now or for "special projects " only.

Hey Scotty, I have a 1996 Opel Astra F station wagon with 153 k kilometers on it. Runs perfect and does its job, but it burns a lot of oil. It did not burn any oil during the summer but burns roughly a liter every 300 kms during winter. Is this normal? I don't think it has a PCV, it just has a breather connected to the air filter. I drive a lot on the highway at 150+ kmph. I live in Germany, labor costs to rebuild an engine will cost 10 times the car. 😀
Meanwhile russia makes new ladas for 4,000 dollars us equivalent smh america gets the worst cars and worst prices. Canadian dollar is not worth as much btw.
