Maybe you need more surface area on the intake filtration? I built a filter wall inside the opening of my window. Seemed like it will work.

When my friend and I (friend is a body man) rebuilt my 2001 ram cummins. We were painting some old obsolete olive green army pain.. might have been lead not sure haha. Any who. I decided to build a down draft booth. I used 6 merv 10 pleated furnace filters vapour barier the whole half of my shop and set peg board under my truck the board extended 4" past the truck or so. Then used a furnace blower motor with a wooden box duct to suck out the fumes. It worked so good we ened up sanding down the whole truck before we painted did some more body work and did final paint in there. It turned out so good
That said your system looks good quick and simpler haha.

Pete, Getting use to something new is can be tricky….but hey after and once you do you can walk blindfolded through it. Give it some time and tweak what needs to be tweaked and enjoy it. Its yours, you paid for it, you did it yourself and you've done a pretty darn good job from this perspective. I'm impressed. Best regards, from Texas.

The booth might be home made but it works. Good luck with adhesion guys. 🙂
