    Hi there! Great video!

What is the name of the soldering tool you are using? Can you provide the link or name of one so I can pick up a cheap one at Harbor Freight Tools? Also, please specify the name or type of soldering alloy you are using!

    Thank you man!!

    1. Apply current close to max for wiring gauge and measure voltage drop across junction. 2. Test how many flex cycles whilst carrying to current to failure.

The human body is a conductor so when you're holding the wire to your leads like that any fluctuations could just be the connection running through you. Also, this test does not test the current handling capabilities of those connections. Nice try though.

i never use solder joints in automotive work, no major auto manufacturer will either. Vibration and corrosion will cause a solder joint to break right where the solder ends and the loose wire begins. A proper crimp with a ractcheting crimper tool with the correct die will last forever.
The problem is most people dont have them and think using pliers or those cheap radioshack style crimpers is just as good. They dont apply enough force and crimp using the wrong shape.

Also i will concede that if you dont have the proper crimp tool, that soldering would be the best option.

Thank you. Nice video. No flux? Do you not recommend flux?

How will wiggling the connection change the resistance?!!!
