Getting a driver’s license is a rite of passage for teenagers, but it also marks the start of their most dangerous years on the road. Teen drivers have much higher crash rates than adults. Fortunately, there are ways parents can help to reduce the risks. This video highlights the stories of three teens whose lives ended too soon and examines common factors such as inexperience, immaturity, and speeding that lead to many crashes involving young, novice drivers.

Teens interviewed speak frankly about their driving habits. They recount crashes and near misses. They describe minding their manners when grown-ups are along for the ride but relaxing the rules when they’re with friends.

Institute experts provide insight into the crucial role parents play by enforcing their state’s graduated licensing laws, establishing their own rules, and providing plenty of supervised time behind the wheel.

I only started driving when I was 20 and even then, I was always cautious. By that I mean, when I get in the car, my phone goes on slient, I know that even a sound from my phone can distract me even if I don't look at it. I never use the stereo, always use seat belt, obey the speed limit, and just use common sense. I know that young drivers like me are the riskiest and because of that, I'm always driving the safest way possible.

50000 killed in last decade WOW. In my home country, there were 720 dead young drivers in the last decade. If the population was the same as USA, it would come to 2880 killed. What a difference 50000 to 2880. In my home country, we have mandatory, professional driving school (driving) + 28 hours of mandatory classroom studies. On top, a very strict 2 year probation period. The results of all this are in the numbers.

Please answer all of these very important questions. Please read this entire comment.

Have you ever stolen anything before?
    Have you ever lied before?
If you look with lust then you commit adultery in your heart, have you ever looked at a person of the opposite gender with lust?
Have you ever blasphemed God's name before?

If you answered yes to all 4 of those questions, then you admitted to stealing, lying, lusting, and blasphemy, and you have to face God on Judgement Day. Do you think you are going to Heaven or Hell? If you die in your sins, then you will end up in a very real hell where there is weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth, and torment for all of eternity. To go to Heaven, you have to be saved and to get saved, all you have to do is to repent of your sins and trust alone in Jesus Christ, and works are not required for your salvation. The Bible says that now is the day of your salvation, since the next moment, let alone tomorrow is never guaranteed. I am not using fear tactics, it's just straight facts. Please accept Jesus Christ as soon as possible. If you repent of your sins and trust alone in Jesus Christ, then you have accepted Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, and you will go to Heaven after you die.
