With the CBT in the uk you do learn to use the rear brake in turns
Yup. Congrats on your Indian FTR 1200 👍👍👍
Craiglist running, 1k that will be my first and so far an 08 YZ r6…. I hear that is not the best beginner bike. However for now it is the cheapest if I do get it I got some gentle country roads to learn on so it should be good. Def not going to be the one I truly want. However, it will suffice.
Hey new riders….stop at stop signs unlike this guy 😆
My first bike was a street legal Honda xr650 now I have a 2008 KLR650 and I’m liking it way more than I thought I would.
Thanks dan!
I'll ve taking an advance basic course as ill be doing the basic course on my own as I literally can't fit on 250 cruiser style bike here where I live the basic course all your allowed is a 250 or smaller. I picked up a dirt cheap re learn bike and got one the wife also could possibly learn. 2003 hinda shadow vlx 600. I got a modular helmet an armoured textile jacket 2nd hand well taken care of and leather gloves from the same person already broke in and maintained. I wear thick denim jeans old skool not that mall or old navy stuff. I wear my thick red wing leather work boots with padding inside so thick and stiff i have no need for my ankle brace. I also have a back brace thay I wear daily so I wear it while I ride its a kidney pad.
In the UK we're tought to drag our rear brake, especially as part of our Mod 1 'parking lot' test. This is our fig 8, U-Turn etc test. As for protecting your ride, my next bike will be a BMW boxer. An RnineT, R1200R or R1250R. Those cylinder heads sticking out need looking after.
Crashed the very first day I got my bike! ☠️
Not bad, just lost control and scraped the curb pretty good 🤪. I have a Honda Silverwing fsc600 and I totally scraped up the fairing on the right side of my bike on a curb! I should have just let off the throttle and grabbed some brake but I freaked out and did the opposite, I grabbed the throttle and forgot where my brake was for a few seconds and that’s all it took! Just lost control for maybe 3-5 seconds and that was long enough to crash. I was soooo upset 😭thinking I had just tore up my bike the very first day I had it, but not so, just some cosmetics 🤦🏻♂️ thankfully 😅
