It's lot more complex that this. 911 also has a boxer engine, which lowers the center of gravity which gives better balance and stability. It's also the amazing talent of Porsche engineers calibrating and makes all this work, because if it was easy or optimal every other company would have done this. Porsche made a mistake making a rear engined car, but it became its character and they can't change it. So its also a catch 22 situation for Porsche. Cheers

Rear engine cars have hammer like weight distribution.. They are very prone to oversteer and earlier 911's were known for this. They were called widow maker at that time.. But today electronics are so advance that they handle everything instead of driver..
