We’ve seen it dozens of times – ‘Bono – my tyres are gone’. Then Hamilton seems to find pace out of nowhere.
So where does this pace come from? Or is Lewis Hamilton actually lying?
So what is going on with these radio messages? Is Hamilton reacting honestly, could it be a bit of showmanship or even straight up trying to mislead his competitors?

He doesn’t lie!!! Only an idiot who doesn’t understand F1 would say this. Knowing your tires are going off means you feel the tires under-heating (yes, they can’t hold temp when they are worn out), but you can still push a ultra fast lap, because you can put more load into them without overheating them. You have to manage pace on new tires to not overheat the tires, but you can lean on an old tire more when they are worn as they don’t hold as much surface temp which results in faster lap time… but it’s short lived and despite being able to get faster laps, he can only do it for a few laps before they fall off the cliff.
