We’ve seen it dozens of times – ‘Bono – my tyres are gone’. Then Hamilton seems to find pace out of nowhere.
So where does this pace come from? Or is Lewis Hamilton actually lying?
So what is going on with these radio messages? Is Hamilton reacting honestly, could it be a bit of showmanship or even straight up trying to mislead his competitors?
As we know, the radio comms are available to all the broadcasters, so we can hear them during the races, as well as the stewards and also the other teams. And oh course, all of the drivers and teams are aware of this.

I doubt it is him "overreacting"
He just loves to cry for attention
Maybe this is an amateur point of view, but as a competitive archer, this sounds a lot like something I'd do for my mental game. I'd often say things that were negative to alleviate the pressure so I could enter flow more easily. I'd often have my best scores then. I know it's not the same, but on a sports psych level it sounds reasonable that he would have mental tools to keep himself in flow state. Maybe one is blaming his tyres to alleviate his stress and let him flow better.

What he actually means ; Tyres lost grip by 0.1 percent
Ah yes "I'm a driver myself" but for sim racing so the tyers will feel like they have less grip but you don't how they feel in real life
lewis is a bit of a wet blanket sometimes and is generally the first to cry if things aren't going his way, but he's also a genius driver.
i don't think he gets these kinds of things wrong.
