We’ve seen it dozens of times – ‘Bono – my tyres are gone’. Then Hamilton seems to find pace out of nowhere.
So where does this pace come from? Or is Lewis Hamilton actually lying?
So what is going on with these radio messages? Is Hamilton reacting honestly, could it be a bit of showmanship or even straight up trying to mislead his competitors?
As we know, the radio comms are available to all the broadcasters, so we can hear them during the races, as well as the stewards and also the other teams. And oh course, all of the drivers and teams are aware of this.

As I know him, I can it’s a bit of everything you’ve mentioned to be honest lol 😝. He knows he can play with the tyres and get to a better performance. He then lets Bono know what his plan is then they can adjust accordingly. But the thing is the plan and codes can change at the drop of a hat depending on how the race and weather conditions are effecting the car. You’ll never know the total truth as there are just too many variables. So don’t think 💭 I’m giving anything away lol 😂. It’s just not that straightforward. Great vid, keep up the great work 💋
I think he's giving information; but also he seems like a Nervous Nelly which isn't a bad thing or good thing.

Being a newer Hamilton fan, I was guessing that some of calls were fakes. But, its nice to hear it's a possibility from another driver.
I do understand it could also be the manner in which the tires are heating up that fools Ham into thinking he's lost more grip than he has.
