Great interesting vlog Angus I do find winter months difficult to get through but spring is ever closer .I don't do groups of people in person maybe if there is one or two I might engage but I find the more there are the less I mix I think it stems from way back but that's how it is biking is really my best time for getting out of my head all good great watch : )
Brilliant presentation of how motorcycles expand one's mental landscape to other horizons. Excellent!
Very nice video, Gus! Excellent example at the petrol station, meeting like-minded people, having an impromptu chat and then resuming the ride. It's also fun that our having to wear riding gear unites us. I went to a lovely place called Os, 45 minutes from where I live, in September and had a nice natter with a random biker sitting there having a coffee. We could see we were both riders from our gear and that was enough to make an approach and chat possible and pleasant. Looking forward to your next video and thanks for sharing! Matthew
agree with all the points brotha keep riding , be happy being in nature is best i find
This is a great video. When I learnt to drive a car, I found great freedom but it has become more and more stressful and expensive. Now when I'm having bad days,it's like I'm frozen and can't get off the sofa, even to get food. No one understands, they can't believe I've sat there all day. But I'm not sitting, I'm trying to move.
I'm really excited about getting my license and getting a bike this year. I think getting that freedom, outside and on my own and concentrating my mind, will give me the incentive to move. Maybe I'll even be able to speak to other bikers eventually. Thanks Red Ang.
Well done Angus, its not easy to talk about metal issues. I fully relate to the use of motorcycling to help with the mind as I was diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD after a cycle accident… I too ride a new Speedmaster an it’s helps with letting the mind settle an escape from the daily life. Im from Cheltenham not far from where you were in Broadway. Keep up the great work and vids Angus, your doing fantastic! 👍
Great video. You made some really valid points that I already knew subconsciously but now you’ve put into video. Sometimes just walking into the garage and seeing my bike ready for adventures even cheers me up. Cheers!
Great video! It's hard to beat, a good day of riding on a Speedmaster.
I agree with you 100%….I'm really pleased you are not scared to openly talk about your mental health, I have walked away from some friends that have told me to simply get it out of my head, it shows they have no understanding of mental health at all, I couldn't educate them about my PTSD, depression and anxiety either so I'm no longer friends with these people, I don't need their negativity….. the concentration (mindfulness) needed when riding does not allow time for the darkness to creep in….Exercise which includes riding releases endorphins which help make you feel good…..I have always been crazy about motorbikes since a kid….Motorbikes are the only drug I cannot give up…lol
Amazing video, keep it up! Sending some positive vibes from Norway!
