On Sunday 27th September I am joining Captain Rambunctious and Phil480 for a social distanced Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride to help raise awareness about prostate cancer and men’s mental health on behalf of Movember. It would be awesome if you could sponsor me, but please don’t feel obliged to do so.

I recently got some Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tyres to replace the tires on my Moto Guzzi V7. As standard it comes fitted with Pirelli Sport Demons, and although they are not the best, I have stuck with them up until now. My garage has no room in it so I too the bike over to T Northeast in Horley. I prefer to support the smaller shops over the main dealerships mostly.
The helmet setup I was using in this video was my Davida open face helmet and the GoPro Hero 8 with Media Mod fitted, just using the rear internal mic. It worked ok, but I am not sure I will use the setup for the DGR. If you know a better way of getting voice audio with an open face helmet, please let me know?

Finding that sweet spot for the camera can be tricky. Camera angle, wind noise & obstruction to riders view all play a part. I use a chin mount on the helmet but always looking for better angles. Great video π.
The sound wasn't to bad i need to sort some thing out with my open face lid i've signed up for the DGR ride to a good cause well done π
I rather fancy going on the DGR, but I'm just too much of a cad dammit! π Hope you have a jolly old time mate.
I put new tyres on the DRZ the other day, feels soooo much nicer!!
Wow cool at 3:15 looks like you entered a secret bike zone. : )
The sound should be ok on the DGR if it's just a slow ride..you could always wear a face mask and put the mic in there ! π
Hmmm on the audio – but what can I say? The whole action cam set up was designed to fk up motovloggers repeatedly and from different aspects at all times, the audio bit often jumps in when you think you're all good with the visuals π I'm sure you'll work it out mate π
Good on you for getting in the DGR. I always wish we still had the VTR250, as it was the most classic looking bike we've had and would be perfect for that.
Be good to hear how the change in tyres go when you've experienced everything in them – take care mate, all the best.
cool video dude, The guzzi sounds real good and the crispy video quality was nice π
ima binge watch your videos lol
Love that Guzzi. Would have been cool if you'd had some on site footage of getting the tyres changed esp removing and refitting the wheels.
I like the new camera angle. Wide and smooth. Creates a good riderβs vantage point. Hope all goes well for the DGR. I wish they would lighten up the rules and allow more bikes in for the event.
