I am in my 50's and dealt with all that this young woman dealt with, and a whole lot more. My Dad, step-mom, Mom, sister, and for decades now my own daughter have been doing these things to me. My advice to all dealing with this is to separate from them as soon as possible. It never gets better and they have no boundaries to what they will do to you. My daughter gaslighted my youngest son telling him lies about me so that he hated me for years, called me names, and he became very difficult. Of course those lies spread through to his friends, cousins, girlfriend, etc. When he turned 19 yrs. he started seeing her lies and wanted to hang out with me again and we got close. He committed suicide at 22 yrs. (4 yrs ago) over his fiancee cheating, and left behind two beautiful little boys. My daughter doesn't miss an opportunity to blame me for his death, and the years he didn't think I loved him because of her lies. She has turned his fiancee and her family against me so that I can't see my grandsons. She has at times turned her boys against me. She has shamed me with lies publicly and on Facebook to smear my reputation with friends and neighbors. She told CYS, Welfare, Police, and her drug rehab that I steal her money and food stamps…those lies could've landed me in prison but my mother tells me to get over it and my job is to keep helping her. My mother now has my daughter's bad choices to blame on me (my daughter is almost 39 yrs. old). I just recently walked away….I still have my oldest son.
This man had me hit rock bottom! He would beat me because I was going against what be believed. He has punched me it my throat and caused me to have a thyroid storm for a week. I never called the police!!! Time went on and I became violent as well towards him! The anger I feel towards him is horrible I feel as he gives me PTSD of when I was beaten by a babysitter at 3-4 years old. So he knows exactly what to say in an argument to get me going. Well in October we got into an argument and he pinned me down on the couch and poured alcohol over me and grabbed me by my hair like a ragdoll. I also thought back and I do believe this time I threw the first physical punch. But my mistake was to actually pick up scissors and I actually just nicked him. He pushed me around throughout the house and I ended up calling the police I ended up getting first-degree assault second-degree assault and reckless endangerment! I called the police and I am the one who gets in trouble ! Thank God the first-degree assault got dropped however because of the stupid virus I got laid off until my bosses family gets their vaccinations which left me without a job and on unemployment. Now my unemployment got cut . I’m at a loss ! Everything I worked so hard to build and take care of him when he was freshly out of the hospital from being beat. I hope him build himself back up get a job so he wouldn’t become homeless because his mother didn’t want to care for him and he got evicted from his place due to other circumstances. Now I am in ashes 😞 please please please if any of you out here are thinking that you are with A narcissist that is a red flag enough to walk away! They will drag you to the pits of hell because that is what makes them smile. Take care of yourself because some of these people I was just demons in the flesh.

amazing show! the sad thing is when you go on to fall in love with an even worse gaslighter who is using NLP & hypnosis to make you into a slave. Now I find out that my best friend doesn't have a bank account at 45. She and her husband do million-dollar deals together. He started edging me out of the relationship, so that's that. I sent her the video, but she doesn't want to know. she has no friends and has to ask to buy a latte. omg
In a way my local county mental health services uses gaslighting to put a majority of somewhat mentally ill or anxious people together with extremely mentally ill eventually leading the lesser of the two to become just as sick.
This gives me hope. I felt so sad for so many years for leaving my marriage. My ex has been married 5 times and each one he divorced them after 6 months. I put up with it for 7 years because I thought I could help him. But I realized after reading books on abuse that he was never wanting to grow and change, he was in the relationship he could control. He was in a relationship over me but I thought we were equals. I prayed a lot knowing the "truth" will set you free. Keep being strong and stop arguing with foolishness. This is so helpful. She would be a great person to write a book with, it would bring out many more aspects of abuse! Thank you both!!!!
My mom already sabotaged me to the whole family so I get you. She would complain about my dad now they don't live together so she complains about me
