You’ll be proud of me, then; I read about this case, but although the article had “Twinkie Defense” as the title, it was the names you mentioned – the two murdered men and James White, that made it resonate with me. I’d read about it in one of the Uncle John’s Bathroom readers books (I have many of them in every loo in the house), and they talked about it, just as you did. It had nothing to do with Twinkies, it was entirely about his (White) having the manic/depressive bipolar illness. So, there, at least, is one source that has it correctly.
I dunno. I used the Twinkie defense after I gained 80Lbs when I was pregnant! I had crazy cravings for twinkies and went from 99 to 179Lbs!! Lol!!
