Tally Bally Ho!

So, this year, for the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride to raise funds and awareness for programs and research into Prostate Cancer and Men’s Mental Health, I have devised a plan!!

The Squadron is going to do the Tweed Butt Challenge! A little challenge that I thought up…

500+ Miles on classic and modern classic bikes in tweed and suits, looks exceptionally dapper and marvellous, visiting 15 cathedrals and 1 castle in the UK! All in a day…

This really IS going to be a challenge, the idea being that we will get more sponsorship for our efforts!

Prostate Cancer Statistics

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
307,000 men will die from prostate cancer each year.
Suicide Prevention – Men’s Mental Health

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with ¾ of all suicides being male.

510,000 men die from suicide each year, that’s one every minute.

This is a number that we seek to drastically change and can only been made possible through the generosity of people like you who have answered the call to make this world a better place.

Thank you for your time!

The Captain.

I am doing the DGR “solo” ride in Newcastle, Australia. Will be doing a loop to Dungog and back. No Cathedrals but will be a nice pub for lunch.

Good thing you didn’t title this video the Tweed Butt Plug.

  3. Saint Etienne

My Father died from the effects of prostate cancer in 2019
It would be wonderful if you could mention him during the ride – his name was Jack – affectionately known as "Gentleman Jack". Thanks Capt.

now thats a bit of a challange, they might have to peel you off the bike at the end of the day and you wont be able to stand up for about a week

Tally-Bally-sorebutt! I am both looking forward to it and dreading it. Here's hoping it stays dry at least

Sounds like a mighty fine challenge sir. I shall look into either joining you or meeting round Warwick. I might even be a loose cannon ride down, do the loop and ride home. 774 miles now that sounds like the words of a mad man
