Tally Bally Ho!

So, this year, for the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride to raise funds and awareness for programs and research into Prostate Cancer and Men’s Mental Health, I have devised a plan!!

The Squadron is going to do the Tweed Butt Challenge! A little challenge that I thought up…

500+ Miles on classic and modern classic bikes in tweed and suits, looks exceptionally dapper and marvellous, visiting 15 cathedrals and 1 castle in the UK! All in a day…

This really IS going to be a challenge, the idea being that we will get more sponsorship for our efforts!

Prostate Cancer Statistics

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
307,000 men will die from prostate cancer each year.
Suicide Prevention โ€“ Menโ€™s Mental Health

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with ยพ of all suicides being male.

510,000 men die from suicide each year, that’s one every minute.

This is a number that we seek to drastically change and can only been made possible through the generosity of people like you who have answered the call to make this world a better place.

Thank you for your time!

i have no research to quote , but my doctor works one day a week in the Family Health clinic at the local hospital , and the rest of the week he analyzes the effectiveness of various tests given in the hospital . and his advice to me was not to bother with the blood test , it doesn't give you any better warning than the finger up the bum , and may in fact be less effective . i think he also recommends that anyone over 55 should be checked yearly .

Will have to look at timings to when I join you wonderful folk. I do like the idea of my ride getting to Warwick Castle if your route works in my favour, will check your guesstimate timings on the FB page and see what I can do! ๐Ÿ™‚
