She was hoping to determine what factors might have led to Dahmer killing 17 young men. A judge later ordered his brain cremated as well at the request of Dahmer’s father, Lionel.

His mom wanted his brain t find out that her being a selfish unloving drug addict is likely one of the factors?
The father is evil as well.
His mother was horrible and made him feel unwanted they abandoned him. All he wanted was to fit in and make friends but couldn't control his obsession and his mother's drug issue as well. The father I believed really loved his son but he had to either choose his wife and younger son or Jeff.

He and the ex wife blamed one another and no one took responsibility or accountability
The father didn’t want the brain researched so it wouldn’t be tied back to him
The mother should have never married him or procreated
No parents are perfect. Sadly sometimes a child is just a perfect storm of mental illness, evil and environment. The only blame is on the one who commits the crime.
