Dan, just got to this one… I can't tell you how much your Nikki training vids are a benefit to people who are learning to ride. For sure, you are going to get negative comments from people, who always have an opinion on some aspect of the training. However, for people who are in the same position as Nikki, watching someone else going through the same process is very supportive, and indeed compelling to watch. If someone only takes away one singular thing from a video, which they can try to see if it works for them, then that is an invaluable service. Dismiss the negative stuff, and look at the number of subscribers you have. It speaks for itself!
I know this videos old and your style/methods might have changed since than but I 100% agree when you say you “can’t cherry pick what I say”. As an experienced rider you say all that you feel is relevant, as a grown man and a new rider I already know I will pick and choose what info you pass over is relevant and applicable to my style riding and comfort. Keep it up bro!
Yo Dan. Im a newbie on your channel. Have been watching several videos already tho. But I understand how it would seem like you are “micromanaging” your gf’s training. I mean, it’s only natural to seem that way since she is your gf and you are an advocate of road safety. It’s only in our instinct to make sure everything is okay as much as we can. I’ve experienced the same thing when I trained my younger brother riding. But I’m sure that as time goes by, everything will flatten out (even right now I believe she is being more comfortable with her bike and you being more comfortable with her skillset) Great content! Stay safe riding
I enjoy ur videos and everyone has to learn at some point they just don't hop on it and know everything and as far as the size of the bike if she's comfortable on it that's all that matters keep up the awesome videos haters will be haters
Great job guys. Awesome job. I think the bike is the perfect size for her.
Who cares what people thinks. She trained hard, past her tests and is a safe Rider. Kids will always play experts
She cannot reach the ground flat footed …. easy wear tell her to wear high heels …………. lol… only joking, if this is a bike she is comfortable on and standing flat foot then go for it…. I'm watching this with my wife, the comment from her about power my wife drives my v8 you don't need to put the foot right down.. anyways your having fun and that's all that matters..
I'm really sorry but she needs a really light bike where as she loses balance she can Easley hold up the bike, my daughter when she was learning she could recover the bike even at 45 % lean angle, she could hold the bike at 45 % angle. she would put her foot down and no problem….. only my penny's worth, please don't take offence…..cos your such a nice guy..
There are many different opinions on the nuances of how to learn. You 2 know each other. Plus some comments may be constructive but you can't hear someone's tone in a comment. I would only respond to that which is helpful.
Nikki, I have learned so much for you guys series of learning to ride. I am 54 and my parents are bikers, but I just started riding my own bike two months ago. I have watched your videos over and over again. 😊 I have lots of experience being a passenger but no experience as an actual bike rider so I am learning so much. Even when you do drop the bike I learned that we all will drop our bikes one day and to know how to safely pick it up is so important. My first ride on the street with other cars was soooo scary but you know what I did ok because I watched your video of your street ride quite a few times and I remembered what you did and just followed what you did. I stalled at the intersection but I just remembered what you guys said to do and went on with my ride and everything went great😁. Please keep on doing what you guys are doing, even do more videos if you can there are a lot of us that are learning so much from you! Thank you for what you are doing 😁 you are creating a lot of good riders out here.
