You’ve summed up the 2 cylinder Honda feeling well. Lots of fun to drive. Mine is water cooled 545cc 4 speed manual but brilliant up to 50mph

I had a mustard coloured one.The boot lid was plastic.im sure it had front disc breaks.Not as good to drive as the mini and not as fast.The heater was useless.But a great turning circle,reversing lights,alternator and features you would find in larger cars.

I had the N360 and my cousin the Z360. Biggest problem was the rust in the too-thin metal bodywork. But they both worked very well, and I drove from Sydney to Canberra regularly in the N360. Fuel consumption was negligible. I also drove Minis and Mokes at the same time, and the Moke was my favourite, but the N360 did the job.
As to torque convertors, the Japanese scooter industry used them a lot in the 60s, I still have a Rabbit (Subaru) torque convertor. Japanese companies shared a lot of information back then.
My N360 was written off after the woman over the road got her shoe caught in the accelerator of her car and drove through my parents fence and crushed my N360 against the concrete verandah. Good for me as my registration was ending in a week and the car wouldn't pass the annual rego (MOT) inspection due to rust. Her insurance company paid me twice what I had paid for the car, and left me with the wreck as they didn't think that they could make money from it. I sold parts of the wreck for twice again what I paid for it, and gave it to a local scappy for a slab of beer.
Fun to drive, but I wouldn't want to be in a collision in one.
