Yes, it’s pure austerity on wheels – a BEIGE 1987 Maestro City. That’s the base spec model, though with the optional luxury of a rear wiper! With a mere 27,000 miles on the clock, this example is in great condition and gives an ideal opportunity to sample what could have been a great car.

It’s for sale!

This video made me want one of these! But I am also in my early 40s and (nowadays) an enthusiast of pov spec cars, preferably beige (I drive a beige Visa Special)

These were never officially imported to Finland, so it's nice nice to get a review of one. I've only seen a Maestro once or twice, Metros were more common but still rare here.

I see the Maestro as a neat car. I like the bold design. City and City X are the equivalent Ford Escort Popular and Popular Plus.

Good review. One point though. There's no such thing as a blind spot if you adjust the wing mirrors correctly. Ie so that you can't see the side of vthe car in the mirrors.

I had lots of Maestro and Montegos, VP in both, and an estate, and a van
