Casey Putsch talks about the finer points of driving a manual transmission in his Porsche 944 for everyday and new drivers. Toe-heel downshifting, double clutch shifts, how much to slip a clutch, and tempo. Big thanks to Avalon King Ceramic Coating. Purchase their astonishingly good product in the link below. do not blip and rip
Got it
Driving an old porsche 944?
Learned stick in an 85 Supra P Type. To this day, that’s the most difficult clutch I’ve ever used. My cousin’s 2015 Boxter is more forgiving.
Imagine having to drive an autotragic cringemission. 🤢
Of course, none if this is at all necessary in modern cars, where you’re not racing around the street, and properly match your speed and use your brake before shifting down.
Does your car have a muffler delete or an after market exhaust?
What about rev matching and going up the box without the clutch?
Good tip about being able to replace the brake pedal to one that makes heel-toe easier. Truth be told I never thought of that and my car's pedal seat up is not ideal.
