Hey mr. aircraft interviewer guy, did you know that Top Gun 2: Maverick has just scored an actual F-14 tomcat to reprise it's role in the movie? I do not know if it will fly again as I'm pretty sure that's very unlikely, but, at the very least, they are using a tomcat that apparently has working electric lights, perhaps for CGI or just cockpit shots. I don't know. But they are going to be flying it in some fashion. Both tom cruise and goose's son played by miles teller got into the cockpit of the f-14 and there are pictures of this on the net. They towed it to Lake Tahoe in canada i believe and it's sitting in some hanger with a very strange looking pod underneath that doesn't look like anything I've seen on a tomcat before. The TCS/IRST cannot be seen. It's just some gray covered pod. Because I can't see the avionics or engine nacelles, I do not know if it's a F-14A B or D. ST-21 maybe? Heh 😀

ha! Despite the tomcat using the world's very first microprocessor, this guy still needs some interwebz skillz 😀

Watched it all, and I do appreciate his honesty, but my god the arrogance. Everything he did was the best, everything he had was better than everyone else, if he didn't do it, it wasn't good, if he didn't fly it, it wasn't worth anything. Obnoxious. We all know someone like this. Seems like someone who would never admit a fault.
