This is one strange story!
A pilot flew a plane into his Utah home while his wife and a boy were still inside. The wife and boy escaped safely, but the pilot, 47-year-old Duane Youd, did not survive.
Here is the back story:
The crash came hours after Youd was involved in a domestic violence incident which had him arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on Sunday evening.
Youd made bail Sunday night and returned to his home after midnight local time with an officer to gather belongings and his truck. Shortly after, at around 2:30 a.m. Monday, he flew the twin-engine Cessna into the house.

I ain't nevvaa…had puddussy that good that make me wanna do life in prison…never
You say he is crazy, but don’t forget a bad wife is rottenness to a mans bones…..
Nowdays… Who still trust Doctors? He could've used a kitchen knife just as well…
Not sure its mental health more than just an angry person seeking revenge.
Red flag laws are unconstitutional and must be repealed. Period.
No one should be denied their rights over what they said/did 20 years ago.
Most people who are depressed are situationally so.
It's never a good idea to drive a car, fly a plane, or grab a gun while in anger! Knowing other ways to cool off is a sign of maturity and self-discipline.
This isn't a case of mental illness. This was a violent man who was willing to endanger his neighbors, kill his wife, and possibly the boy, all because he had no self-control and had to have the last word. Let's stop treating violent thugs like victims of some mental disorder.
This one always bothered me. Feel bad for the kids. Seemed like a talented guy.
I am retiring from the service, I was diagnose with PTSD and for the last 5 months I been fighting to get my medical certificate, been treated and I am not a risk to anyone, now I have to write a letter to why I want be a Pilot and provide all my my mental health records for second time and a letter from my Doctor. I have everything now, hopefully I do not get push back from the FAA, at the end is a disease some I did not ask for it, was part of my job now keep looking to the future.
