Merry Christmas to you and yours
That was a great intro to how the term "over landing" came about. I retired in Feb. and bought an Jeep XJ in November. I've been making mechanical repairs so that it will be ready for a long road trip next year. Channels such as yours have been a big help in my preparations. Thanks for sharing your experiences and views about the hobby.

Coming from a backpacking background I see all this "stuff" as a waste of money and space. All I really need is what I can carry…but since I decide to drive there suddenly I need $20k of accessories on my rig? I'm a little cynical of course…but I'm trying to prove a point 😉
Just do what you want to do and I sure appreciate this channel in promoting that concept.
