I know I've mentioned this before, Mark, but for me, the triggers were caffeine and alcohol. I drank coffee and drank beer for twenty years at least, and never made the connection of those things to panic attacks and general anxiety issues. But back in '14, I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, the panic attacks in particular, could be caused or triggered by caffeine and alcohol (but not nicotine, oddly). So I quit both, and it did the trick! I'm now on my fifth year of zero panic attacks and the anxiety has disappeared too. I'm not saying it will work for you, but for me it absolutely did the trick. It's great to see a video like this, where you guys talk about this topic, that so many people don't even want to mention. Good stuff!

It was good to hear you two talking openly about these issues. I've had fibromyalgia for over 35 years, l'm 70 now. I was able to will myself to keep going until 2005. I began having severe panic attacks soon after. I've also had ups and downs with depression for years. I finally started taking Cymbalta about 6 months ago. So l too have been dealing with these issues. I have been open with my wife about it and my Dr has been as helpful as a Dr can be these days. "Take this pill, your 10 min are up, see u in 3 months". It appears that you both have found helpful solutions. Also, we all have motorcycles and like you Mark, l fly drones. Riding has definitely helped keep me sane.

I had my issues in my 20's and early 30's to put it bluntly I was an ahole, then I got into art, photography and writing I was always into photography and motorcycles but never cared to ride with anyone else or attend events I just wanted to be left alone.
when I got to about 33/34 my life changed I took an early retirement from the Military and traveled a bit, being on my bike and meeting people without the stress I had all my adult life was a good thing. My biggest "mental" problem now is CRS or Can't Remember Sh*t.

I don't care what anyone says, we all know it is true, Motorcycles are great Therapy but they are also a money eating addiction.

I know people with depression, its not an easy thing, sometimes they say just let me get through this day, sometimes just listening or getting out for a bit of food or drink does wonders.

This conversation is so welcome and very much appreciated. So many of us have issues and it's such a struggle to get ourselves to open up about it. Wanting help and support while not only facing our weakness but revealing it can be a daily battle. That's why conversations like this make it easier. It's good to know we're not alone. Thanks

I find that the fuel goes stale faster in the fuel bowl than in the tank when the DR650 is not started for a while. I turn off the fuel tap, bleed off the carby using the screw at the bottom of the bowl then turn on the fuel tap to put in more "new fuel" into the bowl and the bike starts quickly every time.

Thanks for sharing guys. For me it was the medication Lyrica I was taking for pain. Haven’t had any issues since I have been off it.

Hi guy's, thanks for opening up a bit about mental health and how it affects you. Most people, if they're honest, have had some sort of illness of various types and strength and I'm sure you and Alastair by being open about it will be a help. The stigma has to stop and we must talk about it. Well done.

There is a lot of stress and competing demands in today's society……the pace of life continues to increase….the promised improvements in terms of increased leasure time never eventuated….
