'In 1993, Dennis Rodman brought a shotgun to practice, intending to kill himself in the arena's parking lot after learning his current wife was sleeping with a teammate. He claims that he instead killed "the Dennis Rodman that had tried to conform to what everybody wanted him to be."'
—-'Dennis Rodman, who went AWOL from the Pistons in 1993 and planned to commit suicide, until Sager tracked down the Worm on the second floor of a Detroit strip club. “The Landing Strip,” Sager recalls. “He had the gun. He was going to do it. I told him how stupid that would be.”'
(Rodman's father, Philander Rodman, had 29 children with 16 women and didn't see Dennis for 42 years.)

I find it funny that masculinity and being an alpha is toxic when those characteristics are being portrayed by a male. There are a lotta females who portray that same energy but they get applauded and praised as being strong independent women. I have nothing against strong women I was raised by one but I was also raised by a strong male too. My father told me that a man can cry but he does not whine. So I don’t see what’s toxic about encouraging boys to be strong brave intelligent and to have a desire to be leaders. But that’s just me.

I think the NBA's concern with mental health is to counteract all of the media attention that Royce White still gets to this day. I have followed his career like a stalker since 2012. Every year White makes some demand of the NBA. He recently said he would play in the NBA and donate all of his salary to mental health charities. This year he got kicked out of the Canadian basketball league after arguing with the deputy commissioner. White then signed with an Italian team but was fired when he never arrived in Italy.

  4. What About

Any discussions around Mental Health I can never take seriously in a society where people are allowed to publicly say they were born in the wrong body & their sanity not be questioned by doctors or so called mental health professionals.

Even with all these outreach programs that exist today, people are even more fucked up mentally today than they were before. Allot of it is drugs & liberal ideology people are raised on.

At least COJ didn't dismiss mental health and call it demons like the Christian Church
