Don’t wallow in bed for hours in the mornings thinking of the gloom. GO FOR A WALK. Force yourself to get up, go outside and walk for 30 mins and I promise you, it will make you feel better. No matter if you live in the city or countryside, just get up and go, no shower or faff – do that when you come back. I also add in a reward on my walk – which to me as a croissant and an ice coffee from the local shop! This helps with the motivation to get out of the safety of your bed.
I hope this helps a few of you 🙂

Great to see BVG back, and also back in the saddle… I, and clearly many others, will be watching and enjoying the adventure. Safe riding and enjoy! 👍🏻
Edited part is actually an addition…
Having reached the end of your video, we seem to have so much in common; great lifestyle, environment, amazing woman standing by, personal outlook, despise fly tippers, we even have the same bike – it feels like you read my mind and made this video! I wasn’t/am not planning to make such a video, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I’m so glad you made it. Thank you

Late to the party. But so much respect to this guy and hearing his inner thoughts. Well played bro.

Fair play Chris, to talk about the issues you've struggled with must be very difficult. I've never had those sort of thoughts/issues but I'm all for helping out. Never know maybe one day in the future ….but at least I know I'm not alone. All the best for the future pal

Hi Chris, I know how low one can go. My claim to fame: 12 years ago I spent 7 months hospitalized after crashing and burning much like what you describe. I went as far as electric shock therapy (not sure if that’s still done elsewhere but it is in Japan where I live), and that’s something I’ve never admitted to anyone other than to my family, and now your audience. I’ve been on various meds ever since, not knowing for certain whether they really do anything, but I’m too afraid to quit. I’ve no trick as to how to get through the hard bits, other than being absorbed in an obsession with motorcycles (which includes watching your vids, and also riding a 1250GSA Triple Black…). Your walking suggestion is very compelling and I do need the exercise since I bike everywhere (I also hate subways). While I only know you virtually, you sharing your challenges with your viewers, including me, makes a world of difference, perhaps more so than you can imagine. Many thanks for connecting on such a personal level. Cheers

I was surprised to hear you talk about this subject. I didn't think you were the kind of person who is in my shoes 🙂
We are human. We all have personal problems and I think those problems are more similar than most of us realise.
I did before, but I continue to wish you all the best!
(22:56 was like…you reading my mind?)
Keep doing what you do for us pls,
    Feco

Thank you Baron! It’s good to have you back. I’ve got my permission to torque sticker but haven’t decided where to put it. The main thing, is you’re back and on a noble mission. Seriously. It is important.

Johann Hari (been a guest on a lot of the major podcasts) have helped me a lot with understanding mental health. His work is not a cure, but helped a lot that identify what’s missing in our lives and how this makes a tremendous difference to our well being. Hope JHari’s work helps some.
