The mental health benefits to motorcycles are many and to those of us lucky enough to be able to engage in such an expensive interest, it is a fantastic way to rid your mind of all the everyday nonsense, at least for a little while.

Completely agree. Riding a motorcycle makes you feel good. Probably a few folks in the Northern hemisphere a bit down because of not riding in the winter.

I agree with you. Unfortunately my only motorcycle key snapped the day my niece passed away so I couldn't even ride to clear my head. I walked a lot though but its not the same.

what's the old line about motorcycles? You never see them parked outside a psychiatrist's office/surgery

Yep, I have to agree. If I'm angry or upset a bike ride soon has it sorted out. I usually come home with an different attitude.
    Cheers Jeff.

I have two things that help me, motorcycling and wood turning. I’m not doing enough of either at the moment. They both demand my full attention so both help me. My exercise is taking my 42kg dog for two walks a day each an hour long. The only way to stop my mind running wild on these walks is to listen to podcasts otherwise I’d become some kind of crazy!

"can still enjoy the road without crapping out half of his own body weight" 🤣

You crack me up mate 😂 from what we see I think you ride the bike pretty well, I don’t think any of us ever get the full potential out of our glorious machines.

Fair to you for your work fella, definitely takes a strong person to speak so openly about their mental health both past and present 👏

Some really good words of wisdom there mate. I’ve never really experienced any major mental health difficulties, but I know if you took my motorcycle away from me that I would be a mess, I can’t explain it, but riding is apart of me, I need it 🤘

Great video mate, hope you’re well. Stay safe pal.

I am grateful that I've been able to continue riding, after I was hit by a car. Riding is the only think that helps me against the panic attacks. It is hard to be explained, but you certainly did. Thank you!

Completely agree with you lad. I took to biking shortly after losing some friends to suicide in the late 90’s. Clocked up a good few thousand miles tearing around backroads of Limerick & Clare escaping bad thoughts. Definitely helped me at the time and continues to be the best way to unwind. That and climbing to the high places in Ireland to enjoy our might scenery, mighty damp and mighty cold also. Keep her lit man! Loving that throaty rattle of the exhaust btw. Beauty of a new bike for you. You might need an upgrade for the channel logo now though!
