Benefits and loss of mixing oil in diesel/petrol tank.

We all know that in 2 stroke engine , oil is added into petrol . But in 4 stroke engine company does not recommend adding any oil to diesel / petrol because when this oil burns with diesel/petrol in cylinder , it produce carbon which deposits onto the piston head, inlet/outlet valve, spark plug, nozzle/injectors. This will cause low engine power and performance. On the other hand some expert / mechanic recommends to add some quantity of oil into diesel / petrol . We all know that in modern diesel/petrol i.e. bs6 fuel , the sulfur element is reduced because when sulfur burns in cylinder it produce sulfur oxide gas which is dangerous to environment . But this low sulfur fuel has low lubricity compared to the high sulfur fuel. Means the lubricating property of diesel / petrol is less . There are few components in the engine like pump, carburetor where no separate oil is used for lubrication. This diesel / petrol itself lubricate these component’s internal parts. But this diesel having less lubricating property will not be able to lubricate these components properly . Hence some mechanic advise to add few oil into diesel / petrol.
Conclusion: – You should not add oil into diesel /petrol in case of bs6 vehicles like car etc…..as the filter in exhaust will be blocked more frequently and also sensor in exhaust monitor the emission.
But if your vehicle is old and its engine is not bs6 standard and especially in old diesel vehicle you can add 10 – 15 ml of engine oil into 20 ltrs of diesel .
