The Saturday of the Eifel GP was World Mental Health Day. In today’s video, I discuss how some of the teams used their platforms to help start a conversation surrounding mental health. This is a cause that I believe to be so important. McLarens’ partnership with Mind took centre stage the whole weekend with the team constantly showing us that they want to be leading the change in attitudes surrounding mental health.
Below are links to the articles which I discuss, along with the MINID charity wedsite as well which provides information regards Mental Health. This is a great resource for everyone to use and I recommend that you take a look if you are not yet familiar with the charity.

Mclaren continuing to do bits
I love your words about McLaren using their platform for positive change. Very proud to be a Lando fan this past weekend on this. And as someone who myself has had big struggles – and continues to – with depression, anxiety, my autism and possible ADHD, too often it feels like things like #worldmentalhealthday pay nothing but lip service to the realities of mental health. Like, it's not just a bad day you can recover from with some mindfulness and self-care. It's a constant battle with some days much worse than others. And often it's so frustrating seeing so much talk about 'raising awareness' and 'ending the stigma' on mental health, but no meaningful action – especially when mental health support services are often the first to get slashed to pieces by government budgets, including the UK government. I'm currently on a waiting list for therapy, and I have no idea how long that list is – whether it's months (I've already been on it 2 months) or even years until I see a therapist. So seeing McLaren be so sincere, so open and so committed to the message this past weekend was nice – it shows more than just token lip service to MH, and I feel better in supporting them and like I'm welcome as a part of their fanbase and family. And shoutout to you for shining a light on this too. 🙂
