Today on Past Gas… Jeff Gordon! How did a kid who grew up 20 miles from San Francisco take over a rugged sport which sprung from the illicit moonshine running business in the south? What made Gordon so good at such a young age? How would Jeff navigate the fever of fame? Did his popularity in the media ultimately overshadow his abilities as a race car driver?

To lump a large contingent of NASCAR drivers into one episode you guys might consider doing a pod on Racing families; Allison’s, Labontes, etc etc Keep up the great work crew!
It would be super sweet if you guys rolled up to Vancouver Canada! There’s even a super sweet dirt oval nearby in Pemberton I’m sure they would love to have you guys or even one of yall 🤙🤙
past gas on lotus?
Williams F1 team tested Gordon when he and Montoya swapped cars. Williams and F1 were impressed, but the route Gordon would've had to take to get a Super License to race in F1 would have required him to start his career over again by switching to Indy for a season or two, and then compete in junior FIA events. He had already won the NASCAR Championship a few times by then, so it wasn't feasible for him to go that route. Love you guys, even though you probably don't smell good because you're huge celebrities.
I’ve never seen a single nascar race but I know who’s Jeff Gordon lol
