Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we’ve gone about it, but we can’t promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won’t harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you’re doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you’ve seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.

One pleasant memory of an EV was while waiting for a bus I saw a dual sport motorcycle heading south and then turning west – away from me – wheeling away silently.

    Soooooo…. When's the S15 EV coming?

a system that uses capacitors and batteries might increase the efficiency of the power system.
they are developing hybrid capacitor / battery system soon we'll see some testing.

There's some guys in the UK running a BMW using the hybrid gearbox of a Lexus and Tesla batteries. Sounds about right for this channel, maybe swap the bimmer for your S13.

Those original batteries aren't Lead acid, there AGM. So there non-spillable. So they must of been quite expensive when they were new.
Couldn't really see the writing on the new ones, but I hope there AGM again.

I know there's a fair amount of voltage (145V), but she's a shit tone of current there. But if there's a short or something goes wrong, there will be 100's and 100's of amps and if you've got lithium. It's 10x worse as the voltage doesn't sag.

    Look up lithium battery accidents/explosion/etc.
