Is nurse burnout a real thing? In my opinion – YES! I have been a Registered Nurse for 13 years. In today’s healthcare industry nurses are being chewed alive. Now its time to help my fellow registered nurses. Nursing burnout affects everyone, especially the patients and our fellow nurses. When a nurse faces burnout a few things happen: They call off, which has a negative impact on the rest of the team. They become very difficult to work with because of their state of mind. They leave never to return to their place of employment.
There really is no such thing as work life balance for nurses in many instances. This is because the healthcare industry seems to promote burnout. They do this unashamedly by not having enough staff, resources, help, etc. They overburden the nursing staff by having too many patients to effectively care for. The current healthcare system is run by bureaucrats with their eye only on the bottom line. burnout entrepreneur.
How am I going to help my fellow nurses you ask? Well, my wife, who is a licensed mental health counselor and I are opening up a new channel with related Podcast, website, discussion board, FB page, IG, and TikTok to share our stories. I am reaching out to the different publications, blogs, websites, associations, etc. to interview nurses. I know of very few nurses who are not burned out. This is your opportunity to be heard by your peers and the world, hopefully very, very soon.
Stay tuned for the big announcement coming soon.
