Is Harley Davidson getting desperate? Well in this video we talk about the new “icon” range from H-D but specifically the 2021 Electra Glide Revival. I have a very special guest join me to talk about his thoughts on this new “icon” from H-D.

Loaded with all of the current technology including Reflex Defensive Rider Systems, and Apple CarPlay, and powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, this unmistakable silhouette recreates that moment in time with tri-tone paint and period correct badging. The first of the new and extremely limited Icons Collection, this is a numbered edition of 1,500 globally, is this really where H-D should be going?

  1. Diesels HOG Vlog

Awesome video! Those 2 guys should start a regular Vlog 😃

  2. Harley Charlie

As a relatively new Harley owner, I have to agree. While I do think the Revival EG is a handsome bike, if I were in the market to trade, it wouldn't be for that one. I'd just go with a Street Glide. Good point about focusing on developing new models and not trying to redo the classics.

  3. Setzerpendence

    1500 bikes?…IMO this move isn't about money.
If it's not about money, then what's it about? interest? relevance?

  4. Riding in the Ozarks

I understand you opinion but they can’t put a 74 in engine without a lot of expense for a new motor, EPA would never allow an older engine like shovel head… as far as price the revival cost same as Street Glide Special with 2 tone paint and RDRS so as a limited edition I think it’s priced fair, Indian wants 35k for the Limited Edition Chieftain. This bike is for collectors. I agree on LED’s and serving 2 masters.

  5. Rare Breed

It's a nice looking bike but Harley should've gone a little extra way with it.
Should've at least put the speedo in the dash and gas caps on the tank.
I think they are aware of the success the auto makers are having with reviving older models with updated but original body styling, and they are testing the waters so to speak.
This seems kinda like a Franklin Mint® collectible type of deal, and I think very few if any of them will rack up much mileage.

  6. ANONYMOUS BIKER USA

This was awesome! So glad you swiped right on grinder that night to find each other.

For real it’s a “resto mod”. Price is driven by limited run on production and DHV nailed it. They will sell out and in 40 years we will find one in a barn of some rich dude and it will go to auction for 100k and be another “remember when” story of HD. I love the look etc but I can buy a regular glide and paint it and get an old seat for way less money to make it look 1969. Eh. Not my money lol. Pan America is a beast!!!!!! Peace boys

  7. Jim Diesel

Great video, Bike is DOA it's a mixed bag. Seems to be a recurring theme everybody is creatively bankrupt build something new. If your a collector you would get the original.

  8. Dead Nought

In the thinking of the marketing giant that is HD, they are thinking about all the shirts that everyone will be mandated to buy that says things like "classic" and "retro" with imagery of the bike … that is where the money is.

  9. Riding in the Ozarks

The think the 18% is wrong, I watch the financials. 60% comes Motorcycle Segment which includes P&A, rest of the income comes from Financial Services. They are not dropping the prices to match Metric brands because they want to be seen as a premium brand, they will die before that happens and cost of good is a big part of it, if you want bikes made in Thailand then they could sell them for less. Also the stock has gone from $20 to $50 a share in last 12 months. First Qtr Revenue was 258mil, Worldwide revenue was up %10 in first QTR over previous year also. They don't feel near as desperate this year as they did a year ago to me…

  10. NC Stoney

HD isn't trying to appeal to the masses with this bike with a low production run. I believe they are going for a retro LOOKING bike, not an actual retro bike, which wouldn't be cost effective (entirely new engine, frame, EPA testing, etc.). I like the look, though it's not a bike I'd be caught dead riding, and I'd never pay $30K for any motorcycle. I promise you they will sell everyone of them to people that have fond memories of the styling and the cash to buy it. Whether we like it or not, if they sell 1500 of them at 30K, that's 4.5 million. I think Harley knows exactly what they're doing.
