You may have considered this so far but… The driller bits seems to be working ok, why dont you just destroy the old bolt with them and make new treads? I mean, is just aluminium… No need to pulling it out, just make new treads any size you want. By the way, nice song!
Hi Mark. I appreciate that my comment may be a bit late. Permatex Super Lubricant is much more powerful than WD40 and usually available from Supercheap Auto. I alternate between that and the freeze and release as it is specially designed to dissolve thread locker.
Then I use left hand drill bits, on a drill stand if possible. They may even shake it out whereas a stand right hand drill bit actually pushes the bolt remains in further. I had to order my cobolt left hand drill bits from USA.
Once the guts of the bolt remains is removed, the outside parts have less pressure, so the easy outs have less work to do.
Cause Ez out get bigger as they go in they just wedge the bolt tighter in there so are not that successful usually.
Very entertaining MCT. You had me rolling in laughing and yelling at the TV watching you trying to get that bolt out. Great work for giving it a go. But PTR is a great fine. You should do a vid on the trials bikes.
