For the sex life, Wellbutrin worked well for me. Ask your doctor about throwing that into the mix.
I'm curious, how are you actively releasing this angry energy?
Thankx for talking about your experiences Dan it's important and many people suffer in silence. I hope you can find your balance mate. Keep working at it there is no free ride.
It is good to reduce medication when you can control it. About people saying is bad for your brain….this is the people don't get too far lol, ignorance is a blessing lol
Seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist was one of the best things I've done for myself to manage my depression and anxiety. I hope your CB Therapy journey goes well for you.
I know what you’re going though I’m bipolar and tryout all kinds of meds I understand the struggle I’m not doing any now and doing ok but I just wanted to say thank you for sharing that not a lot of people would
I feel for you Dan, I hope it all gets better quickly. My antidepressants were giving me microseizures and flattening my affect (sounds like what you call 'autopilot'), I had to quit and everything you said just makes sense and feels familiar. I hope it all goes better for you dude, I used carefully proportioned doses of herb to taper off the withdrawal symptoms and compensate for the drop in chemicals and it helped me with the anger and that feeling when you have the whole day ahead of you, no obligations, you want to go out and conquer the day, and then you just "freeze" and stand in one spot or pace the living room for the rest of the afternoon feeling like "I can't fucking do this/anything" and then feel bad about having wasted your weekend…
It's not for everyone, driving a lot and having to be a family man makes herb less viable, but there HAS to be something that'll help you, even if it's not a chemical and just a thing or a thing to do.
good on you also I real like your helmet is it a shoei hornet?
Thanks for sharing your story Dan …. not many ppl can talk about it due to the social stigma … more power to you brother..All the best !!
One of the best things for keeping you calm is hard and regular physical training. There is alot of bad energy in human body that simply gets out when you train. Tell me how you feel after a very hard workout. Not one shit from people would hurt you. I speak this from my own experience. My way of dealing with this problem is through regular training but I cannot miss any and it needs to be consistent. I ve discovered the relationship between how I feel and whether I missed the training. Train and once you reach the required discipline, start to slowly cut those stupid meds that affect your dick and eventualy get rid of that. If you have anger problems, for you it would be best to do hard-core cardio. But there would be nothing wrong to do strength as well. Hard work, thats the way to go my dear friend.
I've never been on meds but I battle oversensitivity daily. And anger. I try to help my nervous system with diet and exercise. But while I was listening to you talk I realised that I have to do something about being angry really quickly and taking the time to relax the tension I feel. It's a state I don't even know that I'm in, but it definitely influences my quality of life and family life.
