***IMPORTANT*** If you are currently prescribed anti-anxiety, or anti-depressants, do NOT stop taking your medication as a result of this video! These are methods that personally worked for me, but they are not meant to be exercised in lieu of your medication. If you wish to stop taking your medication, consult with your doctor FIRST so he may safely wean you off your medication OVERTIME!

The three top mental illnesses/issues people write to me about most is anxiety, depression, and relationship troubles. Today, I decided to really put myself out there, and share my personal experience of combating anxiety.

The main takeaway from this vlog, is to let those know who are experiencing anxiety that they are NOT alone, and help is out there! Additionally, it is to provide a better understanding of what anxiety is for those who may not understand it.

Below is a list of resources, such as trained crisis counselors, and books that I have found to be personally beneficial during my struggle with anxiety. If you feel that talking on the phone to a crisis counselor may be too much for you at this time, they do provide text-messaging services as an alternative. Rest assured, you will remain anonymous in either avenue.

Books:
Feeling Good Therapy for Depression. By David Burns, M.D.

When Panic Attacks. By David Burns, M.D.

I know I’m watching this 5 months late, I found you like 5 days ago and I’ve watched all of your videos. I usually don’t comment much but I felt the need to tell you that your videos are motivating me to get out of the hole that I feel I’m in, you make me feel the hope of a better tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your struggles and solutions, it makes a big difference. I hope you don’t stop making videos.

It might work for some people, but for me , I only feel worse when I talk to people, so I try not to do that anymore, one day i talked to a girl from mental health one day on the phone, I rambled on and on , probably from keeping it inside for so long, then the next day I felt worse because I told her a bunch of stuff I probably should have kept to myself,I never told her everything, There was another woman that I didn't feel to weird talking to, although I never told her the real bad stuff. I don't think I've told anybody the worst stuff, it's not something to be told, it's a nightmare to be acted out , i am just the medium and their are a lot of actors who don't even realize they are going to be in his movie, I'm rambling again, I forget what we were talking about in the first place

it is great to hear your open heart comments regarding your life and topics so deep as depression, stress, sadness, anxiety. Eventhough people try to hide their weakness, everyone must know that it is a human thing, commum to everyone. It is so great to share thoughts like you did on this video, it relates to lots of people and as a result you heel yourself, and help others to get heeled in the process as well.

Your such a clever and strong woman, judging by your latest video's in Hawaii it seems your on the right path to happiness! I agree with you, finding the source of what makes you unhappy and change it. I did and Im on the right path. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a depression in my case, more a period of sadness – how you call it, it was there in the hotel to check in for a couple of months :). Now I changed a couple of things and I feel Im getting back to my old self, which was a guy enjoying each minute of every day, waking up with I smile, no care in the world. I have some new goals now and 1 of these is getting a bike and start vlogging like you do. I wish you well in Hawaii!
