As a former firefighter I completely get where your coming from. Like you I loved the work, the job, helping ppl in need. But when it came to sitting around the station and being with the others I "very much like yourself" hated it. I didnt want to be doing that part of the job. It's a big part of why I never went back to it. So I completely get ya there brah! Your doing a great thing now keep it up and keep your head high.
Have you thought about giving your life to God? Just asking.
Bottom line, you are the only one that lives YOUR life. You have to know yourself since you are the only that lives with you 24/7, and choose what really fulfills that life.
