    You’re obviously too big for a sports car! All cars were basic back then but they were dependable and didn’t need an ecu and all that electronic crap to run. MGBs put a smile on your face when you drive.

    Back in the day there was always friendly rivalry between MG owners and Triumph owners , being a Triumph guy I never had an MG and we called the MGB a two seat orris Oxford , just saying .

    If the carbs and timing are spot on you'll get 0-60 in 13 secs and a top speed of just under 100mph. That car had overdrive which you didn't mention. A well sorted MGB will easily keep up with modern traffic on our congested roads and of course no road tax or ULEZ to pay!
