The ‘H’ word always seems to be uttered in the same sentence as supermoto, but what’s the Husky 701 really like to live with and ride on real roads?…..
I go off subject a little at 9:15 and talk about something more serious. If you didn’t wait for the end credits, click here to see what The Movember Foundation is doing to help combat men’s mental health problems.

Thank you for the review and thank you for the mental health illness discussion. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said regarding mental illness and seeking help. No doubt seeing this has helped someone or those who love someone suffering. Back to the review, I love singles for all the reasons you mentioned. I agree they are rarely a bike you would own solely but they are massive fun. I had a 630 when BMW owned Husky for a brief minute and loved it and still miss it today. But it was bugbear re maintenance and that is why I moved on from it. It seems KTM's investment in Husky is panning out, I still follow the Husky boards and rarely see complaints of the nature I had re the new Huskys. Love the site. Love all the additional commentary you provide re things outside motorcycles as they are topical and you approach it all in a sensible manner. Keep it going. Massive thank you.
Excellent City errand runner, I had Rottweiler Performance un-cork mine, its wicked fast for a 701, i love how light the bike is. Build quality is excellent. Bike will do 120mph no problem, its nuts. I put the Husquverna rear storage carrier . This throws off the cops into thinking its a slow bike
yes your right.. after about an hour of riding you do get a dinosaur bum.. (a mega sore arse) 😂😂😂
I was going to comment on the bike but Men's mental health…Yeah. I can talk ad nauseam about this both professionally and personally but believe me, men get it a lot harder in terms of support from friends and professionals alike.
I wonder if the enduro version ( If it's not too tall ) would replace my CRF250L. It's a shame that the 450L was so focused really. It's what you said about being able to cruise, I can do a 90 mile trip but only 20 miles of those may be on the green lanes so lots of road riding between them with a lower geared 250. I have tried the XE, AT and the T7 but I can't say any of those made me want to rush down a green lane and drag them over a fallen tree lol!
I am contemplating one of these for use in the Algarve. I'll have to sell my MT-01, but I have another machine for touring, so that's fine. A 701 will be some change
I too am torn between the svartpilen 701 and the fs701. Just got hold of a Blackbird for touring and figure a sporting single for fun. Test rode svartpilen 701 and came away thinking svartpilen 401 would be more chuck able. Now they're discounting 2019 fs701 I think it's the most likely. Hope I can get on a demo
Great review which I agree with totally, Crap mirrors which I immediately changed on mine when purchased, and as for Mental Health please guys protect and look after yourselves as this COVID has kicked the shit out of us, and our partners, wife’s and Girlfriends. But great review..
Tony, I don't know how I missed this review two years ago but I'd like to congratulate you on yet another helpful, realistic and informative review. And please don't apologise for raising the spectre of mens' mental health. Your comments were genuine and constructive and I for one praise you for airing those thoughts and for providing a sort of comfort blanket for the more troubled amongst us.
As always, your channel is a joy and, among other things, is a very grown-up place to be. Thank you.
Safe roads. 👍
