A brief(ish) backstory of my struggles with anxiety and how minimalism picked up where therapy left off.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with any thoughts and feelings at all, and you’d like to speak to someone about it, I’ve listed some places below. And if you’re looking for therapy options, ask your Doctor or do a google search for therapy in your area. Don’t keep things bottled up, your feelings are valid and you do deserve the absolute best! Thanks for sharing a bit more personal stuff!
Minimalism has gotten me to realize what I really like and not. And therefor I am doing the things I do with greater joy!
Second…From the outside I look social/normal… But I am on the autism spectrum. Minimalism gave me more confidence (thus less anxiety/autism-overload/overwhelmed) because I don't compare myself with others as much, I am more organized cause I have less to worry about… stuff like that!!
Third… I was never able to save some money. For the first time in a long time I seem to have some money left at the end of the month. Feels great. I am going to London in May to spend it though, ha! (I'm from across the pond, the Netherlands)
Thank you for sharing such a personal subject. So important to talk about it, for sure! ❤️🙆🏻
This speaks volumes. Since starting my minimalism journey, it's helped me to deeply reflect and understand what is essential to me. It's helped me to not only declutter the physical stuff around me but to declutter my mind. I've really been enjoying your videos and content! <3
