Personally i like to feed the trees and shrubbery. The more i feed it the easier it is to grow food and such.. humanity has always thrived in history durring earths warmer climate times and we have always had a hard time surviving during cold climates.. also. The more Co2 there is, the more plant life there is= the more oxygen there will be. Calling Co2 polution is just as bad as calling oxygen pollution. So the moral of my story is… dont buy an ellectric motorcycle till the infastructure will support it. Dont want to be stuck out on a nice ride with no way to recharge.. other than that.. electric vehicles (once batteries are made better/cheaper) will be far better and easier to deal with.. very little maintenance. Better control over the rotation of each wheel which means better traction. Way less moving parts means less to go wrong or break.. as long as there are no glitches in the software… God.. please dont let anyone that works at microsoft, google, yahoo, facebook, youtube, amazon, instagram, etc work on the firmware that goes in electric vehicles..

You're bang on with your comments about your electric supplier. In France we rely mainly on nuclear for around 70% of our electricity supply. Not the bad boy you might imagine. Many hardcore ecologists are now accepting it's the best source for high energy output, low carbon electricity. Careful with solar. Lot of carbon is released during the manufacturing process and the mineral mining alone causes catastrophic environmental consequences. Wind energy is a possibility, with many small horizontal turbines now available for domestic use. But you'll need a battery back-up system. As for electric bikes, they're definitely getting better. European emission laws have become a lot stricter very recently (Euro 5 has seen many bikes disappear from showrooms) but the MT07 is sold with a cat on the pipe which takes the system's weight to 7.5kg!! The CP2 is such a well designed engine that it needed no changes to be compliant. But like you said, the noise of the CP2 is awesome and I exchanged my entire system for a TEC exhaust which has no cat and probably annoys my neigbours when I leave early. An electric system can never, ever replace that. Just seems soulless. I hate to admit it but I think medium to long term we'll be riding our bikes on track only and talking to new bikers about the great days when we were authorised to use them anywhere……
My Honda CB1000R absolutely has a catalytic converter on it as do most modern litre bikes that are street legal in the US.

I first saw this channel a few weeks ago and I didn't know what to think? Was this girl seriously trying to educate people about motorcycles? I stuck around and gave it a chance and since I've been riding for 35 years, I knew she was never going to teach me anything, I do find her passion for motorcycles to be pretty Awesome! Then to find out she is a scientist… and she just happens to be drop-dead gorgeous….BONUS!

There are lots of bikes with catalytic converters.And these days everything is bad for the environment No matter if its vehicles driven by fossil fuel or electric fuel.Look att the biker show Long Way Up with two electric Harleys. Not an easy trip without following help cars by this date in our history.But i guess i am one of these lucky bikers who lived in a time when the bike said KABOOM when i pushed the start button and not only zzzzzzz. 😊👍
you as a scientist should know there no such thing as a carbon budget, the world wont end in 7 years. it s a silly self imposed notion that we have to be carbon neutral. its impossible and to attempt to do it will hurt only the developed nations because the less developed nations will still be making cheap electricity.
2:05 – yes you can. All modern bikes sold in Europe that are Euro 4 compliant come from the factory with a cat, also most motorcycles manufactured within the last 20 years have some sort of emissions reduction system on them, like running super lean from the factory.
