I used to feel this way a lot. I changed my way of eating and have completely turned around. Thank you for these videos – I'm a brand new rider and am learning so much.

  2. Colin Clarke

Totally agree, I haven't ridden my bike this year! Keep these videos coming as it helps to know how others feel.

I definitely feel this on a personal level. I call it my social battery and I find that a lot of what drains my battery is my constant running around and putting on this act or play. Like I want to show that I’m okay and that I’m having fun but it’s sapping so much out of me that I have to cut it short. That being said I’m glad I found your channel. Transitioning out of the navy (though I know you were a firefighter) it’s a ease on my mind to see someone else who made a transition out and can deal with their problems and be honest about their struggles. You’re an inspiration so thanks

Dan…my wife has bi-polar disorder and I have PTSD, I completely understand everything you said. Thank you.

I know it's mean I have PTSD and anxiety disorder and yeah it's really hard to say no special driven into you as a kid that you don't say no to people.

I'll explain it the way I was finally get my mom to understand what I deal with and why my life is such a mess right now: The ordinary daily stresses we all deal with, like going to the store or the library or filling out job apps, triggers a kind of fight-or-flight response. The only way anything gets done is through sheer willpower, which is exhausting on it's own. Add to that, every possible negative outcome trips some circuit breaker in your head that cuts you off from some of that will power until you're just…stuck. Noped out on the couch and feeling like garbage for everything you're not doing.

I don't want to be this way. It's not like I chose to just up and quit at life. I know full well what I could do if I just "put my mind to it" too. I don't need reminders of how hard I've failed at pretty much everything. I just…I wish some people could be more understanding of of how hard some of us have to fight just to make the small things happen. If we could be "normal," we'd jump on it in a heartbeat.

  7. Jim Redtalon

I used to have that problem, but then I had friends that wouldn't let me get away with it.

Anyone who feels this way your not the only one. The subject is an accurate description of the last twenty years of my life. I fight against the 'I can't deal with it' feeling as much as I can. Today I took the dog for a walk and that's more then me just going to sleep. Progress not perfection right.

  9. southernbelle84

I hate hitting the "wall" too. Thanks Daniel ❤

  10. ENJ4321

I deal with depression, and have since a teenager…but riding and video games are my cures from it(or at least it helps). I am most often socially akward, and if it wasn't for my wife…I probably wouldn't talk to anyone.
