Well I was thinking ..You know that big ,wide window in the front of the van Mr John ?? Great air dam . Both the alternator and the turbine could be mounted to the Van floor inside illuminating moisture problems . And let's face it , who needs the dining room or kids bunks ??

Missed the load to recharge the “van” battery, which away from a plug in supply and “on site” for a couple of weeks “out there” could be drained (?) by the fridge, led lighting, TV, phone charger. Its not just powering the fridge that counts. But thats only doubling the effort from the alternator thats already trying to recharge the tow vehicle after its started the engine – so just double the duration of driving, and both batteries are charged, 20-30 miles should do it? The rest of it, spotty dog.

In the UK, our tow cars are wired with two electrical sockets. one for the lights on the caravan, and one to charge the battery on a caravan whilst towing. Caravans are fitted with the cable and plug.

You never mentioned the aero drag the generator would create.
