Did Quad Lock destroy my iPhone? Well I think it did and here is the story of why I think it did and the conversations I had with Quad Lock over this issue.
Let me know your thoughts and experiences with Quad Lock, good and bad, because lets be honest its a great mount but they just need to fix the vibration issue and hopefully they have done that now with the dampener. Only time will tell, but I hope they do fix the issues because I actually think it’s a great idea and I loved it until the issues arose I am just wary about putting my phone on the bike again with the Quad Lock mount. We will see….

Please note this is no just an issue with Quad Lock, it has happened with some other mounts too.

Dude.. same phone, same case, same mount. And it destroyed my phone in less than 200km the phone still works and but it’s unable to take pictures. I had to buy a new phone. I recently got the stabilizer attachment but I’m still worried about trying it with my new $1800 phone. I might be keeping the old phone for the bike.

    Damn that really sucks man!
    I use the ciro 3D mount/ charger.
No issues yet but makes a guy wonder….🤔

I use ram mount, with the X-grip. I rarely ever put my phone out on the ram mount but when I do, I use mini bungies juuuuust incase my phone wants to go bye bye…it cant and wont. I've used that method many many times and it has never failed me. You have to also remember, ram mount balls are made of rubber so there is a dampener there. also depends what kind of ram mount you have or use for the bike itself. Mine is the master cylinder ram mount.

Well that's @#$%ed….I was thinking of getting a Quad Lock…but I think I'll just keep my phone in my pocket….too much money to lose…

Rubbish man! Phones cost too much !!!!

Weirdly, it doesn't cause issues with Android phones, or at least has not done so for me, even on my dirtybike. I think blaming a mount for phone damage on a bike is poss looking at the wrong industry, is ace that Quadlock have addressed it, but IMO iPhone has always been a tech that is behind the times. I def avoid iPhone and Apple products and this kind of shows why.

And that’s why my phone stays in my pocket from now on. Good one Stevie. Sucks about your phone though. The price of making content haaha

I've had mine for a long time now. I i have the note 10+ and ride an 09 sportster (16"apes) no issue yet. I vouch for the mount and case, but if you want to go a more affordable route, I'd suggest you go with the SP Connect. They are slightly cheaper and i have friends who vouch for them too. You could sell what you have and buy the SP without losing any more money
