Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession, and welcome to episode 3 of ‘Vlogdown’. This episode is a bit of a heavy one as I discuss what it’s been like doing YouTube whilst battling mental health issues. If you are a fellow creator and you have a similar struggle, please do get in touch if you want to chat; you can do so at admin@carobsession.co.uk.
The same goes if you’re not a YouTuber but you’d like to touch base to chat more about this, I’m not a professional of course, but it’s always good to talk.

Hi Aaron, great vid.Totally understand everything you say.My wife suffers from anxiety and it's a very complicated illness. We find walks in the New forest and trips to christchurch quay etc perfect and really helps. Keep up the good work Aaron and let us know your next car review.PS ignore the criticism from these idiots …your reviews are professionally done . A touch of jealousy I think !
Good on ya Aaron. like you I live with depression and anxiety, so I know what you are going through. You come across as akind caring sort of guy and I like that. Keep on exactly as you are, all the best,
Great video mate. I had a lot of social anxiety in my late teens and I was always thankful for friends that were very understanding at the time. I played a lot of football in my teens too, but approaching training, especially at a new team, was crippling. 2018 I had 3 months off work with depression and i actually found the only time i didnt feel any sort of depression or anxiety in that time was either being very lucky to be able to link up with a car mate and also visiting car meets. Definitely the best social group I've ever been involved in. Really sorry to hear you've had such negative comments but it is great you've risen above it. One of the most genuine and hard working creators on YouTube ๐
To enjoy the taste of food, one must be truly hunger, my dears. And to be really relaxed, one must experience deep anxiety.. .. ..
Very very brave to talk about you personal problems in this lockdown video. I truly hope that your honest personal experience helps a lot of people. I for one would not have โ the big ones โ to do this. You have my total respect Aaron.
Hi Aaron ๐ from Glasgow, well done for talking about a really important issue, I've also had these problems and sometimes you feel like only you yourself have them and everyone else is fine but that is not true. Spot on re comments on social media, I have also adopted the same mentality. Always enjoy your content, although the views may not be the highest sometimes its more about the positive impact you can have on a smaller audience. You're a top guy and we your fans, er I mean your subscribers:) value your content, whatever that may be. Keep up the good work
Cheers mate from the States. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Stay strong and believe in yourself, we all love the way you speak and the professional car reviews you bring us. Your voice is very calming and I feel like your car opinions are spot on.
Do you exercise regularly? I think it does wonders for mental health. Also realizing that there are ups and downs in everyone's life and emotions. It's OK to feel those feelings, but don't think that it will last forever. As George Harrison taught us, "All things must pass." Thanks for sharing your passion!
Aaron – Things I like about you: Your personality, the way you speak, the way you drive, and, has anyone told you how amazing your beard looks? It looks perfect! Honestly, I think all those 'haters' are just jealous of how cool you are. Rock on man!
Those negative commentators sound just like the definition of Bullies.
Hi everyone, thank you so much for dropping in to another episode of Vlogdown. Please let me know if you want to see more of these as to be honest, the views have been low, so I'm not sure how worthwhile this content is to you guys as it's being viewed by about 1% of my subscriber base. I am going to re-assess how these videos are filmed to see if I can make these more engaging for you and to see where I can add more value. Thanks for your continual support.
