Each year, the money raised from The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride enables the Movember Foundation to fund hundreds of programs that support men’s mental health.

The program featured in this story, Resilience Grows Here, aims to provide support for returned veterans of foreign wars suffering from PTS (post traumatic stress). The program works in tandem with groups such as the Valhalla Motorcycle Club of Connecticut USA, whose members are trained by RGH in suicide prevention and peer support.

To date, this amazing program, founded by Program Director Justine Ginsberg at the Farmington Valley Health District has directly saved 34 lives and trained over 2000 of the local community members in suicide prevention.

All thanks to the efforts of everyone who participates in DGR and Movember.

Your shooting and editing are fabulous. However as soon as I see the words Distinguished Gentleman ride. I am totally turned off as my experience of what I thought was a fun ride and raising money for a good cause was met by egotistical organisers with no thought for the charity only their own pompous opinions. I there for avoid said event which saddens me as it’s a good message and looks fun too. It does mean I can divert more of my efforts and money to other charity’s

How about stop invading countries throughout the world, stop sending those men to wars that are not yours? Maybe this way there won't be as many PTSD, mental health and suicide victims. No war on the American soil since the Civil War, and yet the country is continually at war somewhere in the world. There are only two options – either you are invaded or you invade. When was the last time the U.S. were invaded? Exactly.
