The BMW R NineT is one of the most expensive retro motorcycles on the market today, with the Option 719 being even more of a premium. Is it worth the price and is it the best retro motorcycle you can buy?
With a classic BMW boxer twin engine and great heritage styling the R NineT certainly embodies the retro name. In competition with the Kawasaki Z900RS and Triumph Speed Twin, can the BMW beat both of them.

A modernised 650 would make a nicer real world naked.

Haye the red frame, aside from that a lovely machine. However, is it the best retro in place of my Softail M8? I need to to test ride them all I think. Thanks.

I got my licence in March this year; partly inspired by watching some of your videos if I'm honest. I then bought a used R nine T in April and am so glad I went for it, I've really enjoyed the journey so far.

I think buying used can be a bit of a gamble but these bikes are loved and the second hand market is full of well kept machines with lots of money spent on after market improvements. For 7.5k I got a low millage model with full titanium akropovic sports exhuast (lovely full fart) and fully adjustable nitron suspension. Very please with what I have for the money; a bike that I think is a true classic that I plan to keep forever. It's a well mannered, pleasurable ride that has more than enough power / torque for public roads. I think I may even take it to a track once I have a year or two under my belt to see what it can really do.

Thanks for the videos; I'm in Bristol so may see you around 👋

Who is this imposter? Sounds like Angus but where are the flowing red locks? Has he been hacked? 😮

Great review ! The best typically is reflected in the price. 😏 Cheers
